Druckatelier Rittergut Schönberg

Experimental Printmaking Studio in the Altmark
A dedicated print workshop has opened at the historic Rittergut Schönberg — a vibrant space for linocut, Kleisterdruck and all forms of experimental printmaking.
About the Druckatelier
The Druckatelier Rittergut Schönberg is the newest creative addition at Rittergut Schönberg and the direct sister studio to Pendular Studio.
Led by printmaker Kerstin Rice, the atelier is a spacious, light-filled workshop entirely dedicated to the joy and craft of printmaking. It revitalises the historic estate — once a bustling crafts hub with brickworks, forge and linen weaving — as a living centre for contemporary artistic practice.
Location
Nestled in the idyllic countryside of the Altmark (Saxony-Anhalt), the Rittergut Schönberg lies halfway between Berlin and Hamburg. This peaceful rural setting offers the perfect environment for focused creative work: surrounded by meadows, old trees and the gentle landscape of the Elbe region, far from city noise yet easily reachable.

What We Offer
Regular courses and workshops in linocut, historical Kleisterdruck, experimental relief printing and more
Open studio days for professional and emerging artists
Individual mentoring and project support
Collaborative projects with Pendular Studio (print meets sculpture and spatial installation)
Whether you are an experienced printmaker or just beginning your journey, the Druckatelier welcomes artists who want to print, experiment, learn and develop their practice in an inspiring and historically rich environment.
